Charlotte Pence is an American writer. Born on June 25 in 1993, she is the second child and elder daughter of the former Vice President of the United States Mike Pence and Former Second Lady of the United States Karen Pence.

Charlotte graduated from DePaul University. She wrote articles for The DePaulia, Thought Catalog, Glamour and fiction articles for The Isis Magazine and she also wrote poems for The Seven Voices which was published by The University of Oxford.

Mrs. Charlotte is the Author of the children’s book “Marlon Bundo’s A Day in the Life of the Vice President”. Family & growing up

Growing up in Columbus Indiana, where she lived with her family, Charlotte wrote a biography of her father Mike Pence. Mr. Pence cherished the biography written by his daughter so much that he encouraged her to become a writer. Charlotte often describes her family as being “very, very close”  and that they talked about everything together. According to Charlotte, she and siblings sometimes engaged in debates on politics at home and even on the phone since her father was into politics.

Charlotte Pence Bond’s father, Mike Pence is an American politician, Broadcaster and lawyer who served as the 48th Vice President of the United States from the year 2017 till 2021, he is a member of the Republican Party and was the 50th governor of Indiana. He was also a member of the U.S. House of Representatives representing the 2nd district of Indiana from 2001 to 2003 and the 6th district of Indiana 2003 to 2013.

Charlotte’s mother “Karen Pence” is an American school teacher and painter, she was the second lady of the United States from 2017 – 2021,married to Charlotte’s father Mike Pence the 48th Vice President of the United States. Siblings

Charlotte She has two siblings. Her elder brother Micheal Pence Jr and  Audrey and Michael.

Education

Charlotte Pence graduated from DePaul University where she studied English Language. She also studied Philosophy at St Catherine’s College, Oxford.

Charlotte Pence was involved with the school ministry, a student group that addresses violence in Chicago. She was also in the creative writing and film communities. Charlotte Pence graduated with a double major in Digital Cinema; Screenwriting, and in English in which she studied Creative Writing from DePaul University College of Computing and Digital Media in June 2016.

Charlotte worked on documentary projects, one of which won Nine regional Emmy Awards. In September 2020, Charlotte attended her second year at the Harvard Divinity School for a master’s degree.

Professional Profile

While in college, Charlotte Pence did film production internships. She interned at World Federation of Young Investors, WFYI (a broadcasting station in Indiana) in the year 2013, she worked in the television production department.

Charlotte was also an associate producer and co-writer of the 2013 documentary film “Fleeced: Speaking out against senior financial abuse”, which shows “the stories of seniors who had been scammed by financial predators”. The film won the 2014 Emmy award for the Lower Great Lakes region.

Charlotte is a writer and has published several poems, short stories and articles. Charlotte in 2014 wrote an article for Thought Catalog about her religious beliefs, she wrote a column for DePaul University’s The DePaulia about her studying abroad at Oxford University, Charlotte also wrote poems for the Oxford blog Seven Voices and fiction pieces for The Isis Magazine in the year 2015.
