Bayern Eyes Mane as Replacement for Lewandowski

Bayern Munich are set to lose their veteran striker Robert Lewandowski this summer. The soon to be 34 year old Polish forward has been vocal about his desire to leave Munich. Lewy doesn’t see a future with München and is already looking elsewhere for football next season. In a recent press conference while away on international duties, the striker told the press that it was over with Bayern.

“My story with Bayern is over. I don’t see any possibility to play for this club any more”

Although authorities at Bayern have repeatedly voiced their unwillingness to let the striker leave this summer, the club is already putting plans in place for his eventual exit. The Bavarians are said to be already in talks for a potential replacement.

Another wantaway forward has been tipped to replace the Pole should he leave this summer. Liverpool’s Sadio Mane has been identified as a potential replacement for Lewandowski at Bayern Munich. The Senegalese has expressed his desire to move away from Liverpool and it looks like he has played his last game for the club. He still has one year in his current contract with the Reds but the club would likely sanction a transfer this summer.

Barcelona courts Lewandowski

If Lewy succeeds in leaving Bayern this summer, Barcelona is currently his most likely destination. The Catalan side are believed to be in talks with the prolific Poland striker and a verbal agreement is said to have been reached with the player. There is a constraint however as Barcelona are operating on a tight Budget. They’d be hoping Bayern Munich would lower their asking price of 50m
