Arriving at Chelsea at the beginning of the 2019/2020 season, Pulisic was saddled with the responsibility of replacing Eden Hazard who had moved to Real Madrid.

The American made his Chelsea debut in August 2019 – a 4-0 defeat at Old Trafford. Pulisic’s first Chelsea goals came in a 4-2 away win over Burnley on October 26, 2019 where he scored a perfect hat-trick. It was the first hat-trick of his professional career and it made him the youngest player to score a hat-trick in Chelsea’s history (21years,38 days). He went on to score some important goals helping Frank Lampards’s young side to a 4th place finish. The blues also reached the FA cup finals but lost 2-1 to Arsenal, with Pulisic scoring the only goal for Chelsea before being substituted due to an injury.
