Kai Havertz scored twice as Chelsea put in a professional performance to beat Fulham 2-0 at Stamford Bridge. The win puts Thomas Tuchel’s men 6 points clear of 5th placed West Ham in the race for top 4.
Havertz opened the scoring ten minutes into the game, latching on to a brilliant Mason Mount pass to slot in. The move began with Mendy rolling the ball to Thiago Silva who released Mount with a through ball, which the midfielder controlled brilliantly before feed Havertz for the opener.

Fulham who are in a strong relegation battle began the brighter side and had a few chances in the first half. Only some brilliant goalkeeping from Edouard Mendy prevented the visitors from scoring. This defeat leaves Fulham 18th on the table with just 27 points. They are now 9 points behind 17th placed Newcastle who have a game in hand.
