Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan edged closer to winning their first league title since 2010, beating Crotone 2-nil on Saturday. The win means that Inter who have 82 points from 34 games will be crowned Serie A Champions on Sunday if second placed Atalanta fail to beat Sassuolo away.
Crotone held Inter at bay in the first half but the visitors broke the deadlock in the second through substitute Christian Eriksen before Hakimi Achraf doubled their lead in injury time to all but seal the title.ย

It will be the first time in 10 years that any team other than Juventus wins the scudetto. The outgoing Champions are currently in a tough battle for Champions League qualification and may well be playing in the Europa League next season if they fail to finish in the top 4.ย
Crotone relegated to Serie B
Defeat to Inter means that Crotone will be playing in Serie B next season. They have taken just 18 points from 34 Serie A games this season and are rock bottom on the table. Crotone could have company soon as Parma who have just 20 points may be joining them on Sunday.
