UEFA Champions League Quarter Finals 1st Leg Results (Day1 of 2)
Manchester City 2:1 Borussia Dortmund
Real Madrid 3:1 Liverpool
Los Blancos outclass Liverpool
Liverpool failed to exert revenge on Real Madrid as the Los Blancos replicated their 2018 final result on Tuesday night, racking up a 3-1 win over the Reds.
With both sides being without their first choice center backs, it was always going to rain goals. Vinicius Junior opened the scoring for the hosts midway through the first half. The 20-year-old brilliantly controlled a Toni Kroos pass with his chest before firing emphatically past Alisson.
Marco Asensio doubled Real Madrid’s lead 10 minutes later in thrilling style –lifting the ball over Alisson, before tapping into an unguarded net.
Mo Salah without the attention of Ramos pulled one back for Liverpool before Vinicius Junior put the game to bed with a well taken first time finish following a brilliant team move.

Can Liverpool comeback?
Defeat tonight leaves Jurgen Klopp’s men with a daunting task which they would require a mammoth effort to accomplish.
Liverpool will need to produce another huge European display at Anfield if they are to reach the last four of the Champions League after suffering a crushing quarter-final first-leg loss to Real Madrid.
The Reds are quite famous for staging comebacks in European competitions. The “miracle of Istanbul” is one of them, and if that seems too far behind, memories of their famous 4-0 over Barcelona after loosing 3-0 in 2019 is still fresh.
Can the reds repeat another comeback?
Man City 2:1 Dortmund
Phil Foden scored a late winner against Borrusia Dortmund to hand Man City a slender first leg advantage after Reus had canceled out Kevin De Bruyne’s opener.
